The Crain Direct Reading Rod allows for the measurement to be read directly on the rod, which virtually guarantees the correct measurement. The innovative design saves valuable time and money and the durable construction includes no brittle or easily breakable tapes or parts.

The "One Shot" is designed to be complementary to a tall CR rod. The One Shot works wonders when the change in elevations are less than 4' and the CR is perfect for greater elevation differences. While leveling rods are great for cut and fill applications with large differences in elevation, they require math to calculate cut or fill measurement. Worse yet, most of the time, if the math is wrong, it is off by two times the correct measurement!

The rod is to be used for cut and fill applications and is for use with lasers and optical levels. Applications include Grading, Forms, Sewers, Masonry, Landscaping, Drainage, Site Work, Foundations and Slab Work.

The One Shot operates in a similar manner to a Lenker Rod but with much more up-to-date, durable construction and a much lower price.

The rod has foot markings as well as tenths (or inches depending on model of rod you purchase). The rod is made of Composite Material.
