This Plastic Cutting Strip is needed whenever you purchase and use any of the Dahle decorative cutting heads for the Dahle 507 Model Trimmer. It protects the board from cuts. If you are using the regular straight blade, you do not need this plastic strip. You do need this if you're using any of the decorative heads (models 961, 962, 963, or 965).
How is this product used? It is placed under the media you are cutting, and protects the trimmers board.
