The Seymour Paint brand goes back to the year of 1949 in Sycamore, Illinois, with a man named Ed Seymour. Mr Seymour developed a spray applicator to demonstrate an aluminum paint he had created that was used for painting steam radiators. His idea was that of a small can of paint packaged with an aerosol propellant and fitted with a spray head. Though intended to show sales prospects how the paint would look when applied to surfaces, the aerosol spray can proved to be so popular that he borrowed money and started developing new idea. Today the Seymour Paint brand is well known and extremely popular in the underground utility marking industry as well as location surveys and construction stake-out paint.
