The Planix 5 is an electronic Polar Compensating Planimeter. It can measure an area that is 14" or 356 mm diameter, without repositioning the polar pivot point. The length of the polar arm is 8 3/4".
The Planix 5 has an 8-digit readout and operates up to 30 continuous hours using a rechargeable NiCad battery. Its features include selectable English or Metric scales, multiple measurement averaging, display hold, accumulative measurement, and electronic zero reset. A battery power saving provision automatically turns off the instrument when left unoperated for more than three minutes.
Accuracy is better than 0.2%. Complete with A/C charger, battery and carrying case.
