EngineerSupply was
founded and started in 1999 with the idea of
aggregating engineering, surveying, drafting, and
construction tools and supplies into one combined
catalog. The solution was to fill a gap that
I saw while working in the AEC
(Architectural, Engineering, Construction) domain as
a Civil Engineering Designer, CAD Manager, and
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Manager. I
recognized the AEC Marketplace and combined my
resources to develop EngineerSupply. My
experience in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering Design,
Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Computer Aided
Drafting (CAD), Residential and Commercial
Construction, Business and the Internet has helped
the company grow into a tool and supply destination
for many Professionals.
Before starting EngineerSupply, I was employed for two surveying firms as well as
two professional AEC firms. I was able to use most
of the tools and supplies that EngineerSupply
represents and sells. My education in Architectural
Design and Business Information Technology combined with
my experience has
been an effective combination while managing and
building EngineerSupply.
I hold degrees in Architectural Design & Drafting,
and a Bachelors of Business Information Technology &
Operations Management.
Internet technology allows a company like
EngineerSupply to keep its' catalog updated, but
that alone is not enough. We remain highly competitive with
our competition based on one sole premise, intense
and personal customer service. With a slow-growth
and low-debt strategy combined with our level of customer service,
it's proving to be successful. While we cut prices,
we do not cut customer service.
With the knowledge and use of the products we
represent, along with the desire and ability to reach higher
than expectations as a supplier, it is our goal to continue building EngineerSupply
to maintain its status as a company
that puts its customers first and foremost. We plan
to have a
continual process of building and refining the people and
process that defines EngineerSupply as a company. I
still help answer the phone and email on a regular
basis and plan to continue doing so as it allows me
to measure and enforce the level of service we
provide to our customers.
