Laser Detectors

If you are going us use your laser level primarily outdoors, you will have to use a Laser Detector (also known as a Laser Receiver) as even the brightest visible rotating beam will be lost in daylight. Since infra-red light is invisible to the human eye, you will need to use an electronic laser detector. Infra-red beams are most often found on lasers used for outdoor work, such as grading, trenching, leveling driveways, laying pipe, or setting concrete forms. Keep in mind that laser detectors made for red laser levels only work with red laser levels. Green laser levels require a laser level detector made to work with green lasers. Currently no manufacturers make a detector that will detect both red and green laser level beams.
