Presco’s Journey
Presco started in 1942 when a Texas man named Robert "Earl" McMackin devised a tool called a stadia rod to help seismologists find oil. It led him to start a company called Precision Specialties in Dallas. Over time, the company grew and began making new tools for handling dynamite and products like flagging materials. In 1975, they started making their own PVC film and created Texas Grade Roll Flagging, which became very popular with surveyors. In 1979, the company changed its name to Presco, and in 1987, they moved to Sherman, Texas, to expand their business. Today, Presco continues to do well with two factories in Sherman, where they make products using the latest equipment and a great team of workers.
