Why Professional Service Matters

Precision instruments drift over time and can go out of tolerance from vibration, impacts, transport, temperature swings, and daily jobsite wear. Regular precision instrument calibration helps you reduce rework, protect your reputation, and keep projects moving.

  • Accuracy: Verified performance for reliable measurements.
  • Downtime reduction: Catch issues early before they become failures.
  • Compliance: Documentation available for internal QA and audits.
  • Longevity: Maintenance extends equipment life and protects your investment.
Our Specialization

We support a broad range of surveying instrument repair and surveying equipment repair service, including:

  • Total stations: standard + robotic (total station service / total station repair)
  • GNSS & GPS: rovers, bases, controllers (gnss service, gnss repair, trimble gps repair)
  • Lasers: rotary/line/pipe/slope (topcon laser repair, topcon laser level repair)
  • Optical instruments: theodolite repair, transits, optical/digital levels
  • Controllers & handhelds: Trimble TSC3 screen replacement, Trimble TSC3 keypad replacement, Trimble TSC2 screen replacement, Trimble TSC7 screen replacement, Trimble Nomad screen replacement, and Trimble handheld GPS units for surveying

We also support GNSS field workflows including RTK GPS surveying, RTK correction service, and system-level topics like Trimble GNSS planning, GNSS assistance data, GNSS correction data, GNSS correction, and GNSS data processing. If you use Trimble RTX or Trimble VRS, we can help with Trimble RTX setup, Trimble RTX correction services / Trimble RTX service, Trimble VRS setup, and related Trimble correction services (including Trimble VRS network troubleshooting). For advanced environments, we can also assist with items like GNSS NTP server time sync alignment.

Our Repair & Calibration Services Include
  • Cross Beam & Laser Pointer Repair, Calibration, and Cleaning
  • Optical Transit Repair, Calibration, and Cleaning
  • Auto level repair / calibration & cleaning (including “auto level repair near me” inquiries)
  • Construction Laser Level Repair, Calibration, and Cleaning
  • Theodolite repair, calibration & cleaning
  • Total station repair, calibration & cleaning
  • Multi-Purpose Laser Level Repair, Calibration, and Cleaning
  • Slope Laser Repair, Calibration, and Cleaning
  • Pipe Laser Repair, Calibration, and Cleaning

We perform an initial diagnostic review and verification testing. If additional parts or repair work are required beyond standard cleaning/calibration, we’ll confirm the findings and provide a clear quote before proceeding.

Need specialized calibration? We offer calibration service for precision instruments including precision instruments torque wrench calibration (where applicable) and precision level calibration.

Service Rates

We can quote cleaning and calibration in advance. Any repair, however, requires us to have the equipment in hand before a final quote can be provided. The hourly service charge is $120, Return shipping is additional and will be quoted as applicable.

We service Leica, Topcon, and Trimble instruments across a wide range of models. Submit the form with your model number and issue, and we’ll confirm serviceability, turnaround expectations, and the best path forward.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do you charge for repair or calibration?

The hourly service charge is $120, Return shipping is additional and will be quoted as applicable. We can quote standard cleaning and calibration in advance. Final repair quotes require an in-house inspection so we can accurately confirm parts, labor, and scope.

How long does repair or calibration take?

Turnaround time depends on instrument type, issue severity, and parts availability. After inspection, we’ll provide a clear estimated timeline before proceeding. If you have a job deadline, note it in your request and we’ll do our best to prioritize.

How often should I service my surveying instruments?

Annual servicing is a good baseline for most tools. Heavily used instruments (frequent transport, harsh environments, daily jobsite use) may need more frequent checks. A full overhaul is commonly recommended every 2–3 years depending on conditions and usage.

How do I ship my instrument in for service?

Submit the quote request form first, and we’ll confirm next steps. We can assist with shipping via UPS, FedEx, or USPS. For best protection, ship in a hard case (if available) and pack the case inside a sturdy box with padding to reduce transit damage.

Do you help with GNSS/RTK corrections like Trimble RTX or VRS?

Yes. We support troubleshooting for Trimble RTX and VRS correction workflows, including configuration review, convergence behavior, and data flow. If you’re seeing inconsistent accuracy or connectivity issues, we can also review system timing and network settings that may affect GNSS correction performance.

Do you repair controller screens and keypads (TSC2/TSC3/TSC7/Nomad)?

Data collectors and handheld controllers often come in with cracked displays, unresponsive touchscreens, or worn keypads from jobsite use. If your Trimble or any other brand controller is experiencing display or input issues, submit the model and serial number along with the symptoms and we’ll confirm service options and pricing.

What info should I include to get the fastest quote?

Include brand/model, serial number (if available), accessories you’re sending, and a clear description of the issue. Mention if the tool was dropped, exposed to water/dust, or if you’re using GNSS corrections (RTX/VRS) and need help with configuration.

What do you service, and what don’t you service?

We service many laser, construction, and surveying instruments including total stations, robotic total stations, theodolites, optical/digital levels, GNSS rovers and base systems, and common controller/handheld units. We do not service Magnetic Locators. If you’re unsure, submit the form and we’ll confirm compatibility.

Can you prioritize urgent repairs?

If you have an urgent deadline, note it in your request and we’ll review options based on workload and parts availability. The more detail you provide up front, the faster we can triage and quote.
