A Crescent tool set will have a limited lifetime warranty (excluding carrying cases and storage accessories) once it has been delivered to the customer without defects in the materials or the workmanship. Some of the exceptions to this lifetime warranty include the following:

• Tool bags have a 3-year zipper warranty once it has been registered.
• Soldering and de-soldering products have a one-year warranty from the time it has been accepted by the buyer.

The Crescent Tool Company made the first adjustable wrench in the early 1900’s, which replaced the need for an entire set of dedicated wrenches. It’s now owned by the Apex Tool Group, which is one of the largest manufacturers of hand tools in the world.

Also called an “adjustable wrench,” a crescent wrench can be used on a broad range of nuts and hex-shaped bolts. But it doesn’t get a lot of use in the craft shop. It’s mostly used on the road for vehicle repairs, but it can be used on cars and trucks in a number of ways. It’s also a good idea to keep a crescent wrench under the seat of your motorcycle, because it has a variety of uses when it comes to making repairs. It’s even good for fixing bicycle-related problems (such as a loose seat).

The company that came up with the popular American design and patent for the screw-adjustable wrench style was the Crescent Tool Company. That’s why in the US and Canada, this type of wrench is often referred to as a “crescent wrench.”
