• End of Life Control — An LED light will dim over time instead of failing suddenly, which is the case with a standard bulb. So, you won’t be caught in the middle of a job without light. You will also have plenty of time to address the situation and replace the bulb before it becomes a major problem.
• More Environmentally Friendly — Because it doesn’t have any dangerous materials (such as mercury), an LED light is a safer option compared to a fluorescent or mercury vapor light.
• Free of Radiation — Unlike fluorescent lighting, an LED light doesn’t emit any dangerous radiation in the form of ultraviolet rays. Prolonged exposure to these lights can cause problems to your eyes and skin. So if this is a concern, an LED light can be a better option.
• Safety — An incandescent bulb can convert up to 90% of the energy it consumes into heat. And aside from the lack of efficiency, there’s a major safety concern. An LED light generates no forward heat when it’s in operation, so its housing won’t reach potentially dangerous heat levels.
• Instantaneous — An LED light can turn on and off instantaneously. They don’t need time to warm up, which is the case with metal halide alternatives. And turning it off won’t cause degradation of the unit itself.
• Cost Savings Over Time — An LED work light will save you money over time, because it emits more lumens per watt than an incandescent bulb. Performance also won’t be impacted by its size or shape, which can also be an advantage.
