The Generac Extended 5-Year Warranty is designed for portable generators with a power output of up to 6,999 watts (excluding inverters), generators rated between 7,000 and 19,999 watts, and the iQ2000 Inverter model. This extended warranty covers parts, labor, and travel within a specified distance, typically 100 miles, ensuring comprehensive protection for your generator. It can be purchased anytime during the original 5-year warranty period and takes effect from the date of generator purchase. This warranty only covers issues that arise after the extended warranty is purchased.
